My album is The Shins “Port of Morrow.” I will listen to the song “It’s only Life” over and over and over until I start to feel back in balance ... and then I will continue with the rest of the album. I also endorse the value of showers. One of my winter depression remedies is to soak in a saltwater pool. (In the Mpls area, I recommend Watershed Spa.) Water is so healing. I’m a dog person; cats are okay too. All of this to say ultimately that you are not alone, none of us is alone in moments of sadness. Many of us can relate and appreciate the sadness camaraderie.

I've just connected so deeply with this text. Let Go is also my go-to album, both when I’m feeling sad and when I’m driving long distances. And yes, showering is hands down the most underrated thing when you’re feeling bad. That “yet here you are holding in your pee until you finish xyz task”... omg, that’s me! hahah Thank you for sharing this. Always great to remember we’re not in this alone. ♥️
